CUBA 2005/2 THE FINCA OF ERNEST HEMINGWAY

Unfortunately Hemingway's finca in SAN FRANCISCO DE PAULA was renovated and not each room could be seen through the window. (it is only allowed to look through the window and you have to pay for taking photos! Naturally i paid!)
Last year i could have seen everything, but i wasn't a member of fotopages during that time... and didn't pay, what a pity!
This beautiful house stands on a top of a little hill with a wonderful park around,
many different kind of trees you can see there and there is a fantastic view to Havana.

Cuba 2005/1 THE TOBACO FACTORY
|

Now i will finally begin with my Cuban photos.
For the beginning i want to show you the forbidden pictures of the Tobacco Factory.
Our group was allowed to visit this factory in Santiago de Cuba.
The leader first informed us that it is forbidden to take photos there. But she said smiling 'If you have a little camera and you can hide it, you can take photos without being noticed...'
So my Ixus 400 went into the pocket of my skirt...
The job was not so easy there were two men in uniform watching us and the third one who was explaining the fabrication of cigars.
Naturally i have put my flash off, what another member of the group forgot and he was berated.
The members of the group was very cooperative and protected me of the views of the overseers.
You cant imagine what a fun i have had to take this photos like a member of CIA! It was wonderful exciting!

It is very hot in Europe now and every night i am waiting for the glow-worms.
Last night they finally were flewing through the garden...

A Walk AROUND A LITTLE LAKE

I am sorry that i have not been able to visit your pages for a long time and that i have not posted the Cuban photos till now, but i will soon begin to show them to you.
After not taking photographs for a long time i have taken these a few days ago during a walk near the place i am living.
