Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the most famous German poet, was born at the 28.8.1749 in Frankfurt.

I read some of Von Goethe poet in my school days
but never really knew how he looks like,..thanks for sharing Renate

liebe Nati, danke Dir, dass du meine Heimatstadt so dargestellt hast, dass ich nochmehr stolz bin auf Frankfurt, Du hast genau die Stimmung erwischt, was Frankfurt ausmacht, was mir Heimweh gibt, wenn ich mal weg bin. Warum ich Frankfurt nie so sehe wie du, das muss daran liegen dass du eine Künstlerin bist, du hast "den Blick", danke dir noch einmal.

OLD OPERA IN FRANKFURT/MAIN

For the true the beauty the well...

The opera has been built between 1873 and 1880. 1944 it has been destroyed.
They said is was the most beautiful ruin of Germany.
1981 it was rebuilt and opened for many events.

I would just love to attend a performance here
